While this album can be monoteous & Skold can't properly handle high octaves on Equilazer i salute it's clever use of minimalism - things like instantly memorable pulsating beats in Fiction, secateurs-like sounds in Decay, Decay, compressed church organ in Murder Suicide. All of this is wrapped up into suitably cold OG industrial soundscapes with interesting, open to interpretations lyrics deeply exploring spiritual satanism & dark mythology. At last it will finish you off in Leviathan Abyss.

A triumph of martial industrial, extreme metal & hellektro blend in a one fully realised album filled to the brim with vicious crypt counterculture in vein of properly thought-out kabbalah symbolism. Each track greets you with notable ideas. Tops most of corpsepaint copy-cats on it's epic scale. Might be considered a conceptual album which makes it even better. Bonuses are essential for the full experience, but overcomporessed Heartworm [Version] makes my head explode in a bad way.

Dies Irae marks the point when Skold truly matured. Playful rock n' roll songs only stab you with provocation this time. He also fully embraced his gothic punk aura showcasing the same anarhistic aplomb. It all led to this drum-tight album unreveling texts with symbolic fatalism, horror'esque post-effects & unpedictable synths which are flirting with his most serious, at times even heavy metal type of rock strengtened up by very skillful guitar solos. The song-writting is front to back solid.
